Troop 55 Summer Camp at
Camp Ingawanis is a great Scout
campground just outside of Waverly, IA. Lots of space for hiking, camping, and scout activities.
They have archery, a rifle range, a shotgun range, swimming, canoeing and horseback riding. |
I suppose you wonder why I've called you all here . . . |
This looks a good place to put a tent |
So many tents, so little time |
Aren't there more pieces? HEY! Who brought the directions? |
A job well done! |
Our camp after everyone was set up |
In their free-time, the Scouts built a large fort without any adult help. |
I wish I had pictures of the final structure, it was very good. |
They also built a catapult. It shot rocks and wads of duct tape a long way. |
Ready . . . Aim . . . FIRE!!! |
What is camping without a campfire? |
They had one everynight! Smores anyone? |
We had 29 scouts attend summer camp. 6 parents stayed the entire week and others spent parts of days and nights at camp. |
The Strategy session: The last day and the winner takes home the "Spirit Stick". |
Troop55 is VICTORIOUS!!! They take home the Spirit Stick after chucking a hog with the catapult. |
