Troop 55 January 2005 Ingawanis Camp Out
It was January and everyone was ready to get their "Red Flannel" badge.
Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. With temperatures of 15 below and less, the ranger
told us it was too cold to safely attempt this year. At least there is always next year. This was our cabin.
Luckily we had a BIG cast-iron fireplace which helped to keep the cabin warm. |
|
On Saturday, an outside fire was started to prepare for the "Red Flannel" day. Shortly after, we were told it was off.
Instead, it was a day of sledding. A plastic sled, an icy hill and scouts. What more do you need? |
|
A great hill to sled. Here we see great sledding form.
Some went solo and some used the team approach. .
Finally, there was a two person race.
Not everyone made it to the finish line. |
