Troop 55 2006 High Adventure Rocky Mountain National Park

Troop 55 had a High Adventure Activity at Rocky Mountain National Park in July, 2006. 16 scouts and 24 adults and family attended. While thye may talk about how beautiful Rocky Mountain is, you can't really appreciate it until you are there in person. WOW!!! We had fun hikes, camping, horse back riding, whitewater rafting, rode the tram, and more memories than will fit on one page!

Do Not Enter? I thought this was supposed to be a friendly place?

Our first hike was up "mini-mountain", a small hill behind our camp site. It only reached 9,800 feet. Until you get acclimated to the thin air, hiking is a real challenge.

The Horse trail was very steep and more difficult than most of us expected, but was a lot of fun. rmnp

We really PAID to feed ground squirrels! But, they were really cute!

The White Water Rafting trip will be remembered for a long time. What fun!

The sulfer hot springs was a favorite of all
Nobody was dry after the water fights, but everyone had a great time.

Our last big hike was by Alberta Falls. It was worth the walk.
