Red Flannel Camp Out February 2008
Troop 55 had their annual Red Flannel Camp Out. To get the Red Flannel patch, you must camp outside, cook over an open fire and have the temperature remain under 32 degrees. This year, we had more snow for the camp out than recent Red Flannel camp outs.
Ranger camp site. The adirondacks are a great place to camp for the winter. Some of the roads to the site were plowed, but the last portion was not. Only 4 wheel drive vehicles were allowed back. We couldn't even bring back the trailer.
After getting out our gear, the dining area and fire ring had to be scooped of snow. |
|

|
The quinzee is coming along, but still needs more snow added.
