Hickory Hills Camp Out October 2009

Hickory Hills is one of hte favorite camp outs of our scouts. It is a very nice park. Lots of trails and woods to explore, several ponds, and many different animal displays. This also was their Halloween weekend. The kids in the campground could go trick or treating and they had a small spook house.

We arrived on Friday night and set up camp. It was cool for an October night - into the mid 20's. The next morning, we found this - SNOW on the tents!

For breakfast, the scouts made donuts. Smothered in powdered sugar, they were a hit with the scouts. The adults had eggs and sausage.

After breakfast, we returned to town. It was the morning for us to put out our "Scouting for Food" bags. We covered our area and put out about 1000 bags.
