Winnebago Scout Reservation Canoe Trip August 2009
Each year, Troop 55 tries to do a canoe trip. This year, the trip was down the Winnebago river which connects to the Shell Rock River. The Shell Rock River goes right by the Winnebago Scout Reservation. It was a great trip!
This year, we decided to stay in the "Hobbit Huts". They are really nice. We didn't have to set up tents or a dining fly.

For those who have never been on this river, it is a beautiful trip. It took us about 5 1/2 hours, including stops and lunch to go 13 miles. Lots of grea scenery, Eagles and Herons. A few fun rapids along the way. For those looking for a fun trip, this is highly recommended. |
