2010 National Jamboree Day 6 | |
| Thursday started of with an attempt to break the Guinness Record for the most number of people trained and certified in CPR and AED in one day. | |
Almost ready to go. |
A field full of mannequins. |
Some scouts ready to start. It was a very good program. Unfortunately, it rained twice during the day. Not sure if the record was broken. |
| One of the two storms during the day. |
After the rain, I wondered up to the far side of camp. |
In one tent, you could build and race LEGO cars. |
The tent was well guarded. |
on both sides. |
Another tent had LEGO NXT sets to build and program a robot to do specific tasks. |
More robots that had been built. |
Another tent had lots of fun demonstrations. Here, he blew thing up, showed off things that go bang. Now, he was showing off the fun of liquid nitrogen guns. |
Not a surprise, this was a popular tent! |
Blowing the lid off containers was also fun |
the NASA tent had a model of one of the Mars rovers. |
One company now has solar chargers for cell phones and laptops. The cellphone charges in about 30 minutes. |
The other buildings had more Virtual Reality stuff. |
There was the flying simulator. Very realistic. |
This clearly was a high security area, given the guards. |
There no fights between them, just glares. |
