Eagle Cave April, 2016 | |
Eagle Cave has long beena favorite campout of Troop 55. Where else can you sleep in a cave and explore it? Normally, we camp there in January. This year, weather did not allow us go up there in January, so we were force to g in April. Spring is a wet time, and it was!
The mess hall and main lobby. The main hall has food and an arcade. Besides food, you can play games and evening Bingo in the Mess Hall. |

The entrance to the cave
Where we slept. Even with tarps under and over our gear, it was wet. First time I have ever seen it raning inside. |

The other side of the cave with more people sleeping there.
The new scouts find some fun areas to explore. There were lights in the main part of the cave. But the fun areas were dark without headlamps. |
|
Some areas were narrow | |
Some you could go on hands and knees, others you crawled. |
|
They are down there somewhere
Still down there |

But, there is allows a new area to explore. |

There was an outdoor activity walking the gold nugget trail. There were "gold nuggets" to be found.
After caving, the scouts have fun at the arcade. |
