Ryans' Eagle Project 2012

Ryan built a rock wall next to a bench at Hartman Reserve Nature Center. These photos show the completion of his project. There was a LOT of planning that went into this, as all Eagle Projects.

There were many rocks found here, as well as another site.

Safety lines were sprayed before the start fo any digging.

Ryan had a lot of help, which was good as he had a large hole to dig.

The hole was that big, and that deep.

Going to a second site for more rocks.

Rebar was used to strengthen the concrete for the base.

Starting to lay out the rocks. This is actually more difficult than it appears.

More rocks layed out, and the wall starts to take shape.

After the initial rocks were layed out, mortar was made and the rocks cemented in place.

Mark shows how you mix mortar.

Once the concrete dried, it was time to acid wash the wall.

The finished project. It looks awesome! And yet, looks like it always was there and should be there.
